Decent case with good protection and flexibility to take out. My gripe about this one is you *have* to use your fingernail to peel off the latch on the case, as it’s quite thin and have a soft finish with the cover. My pencil also tends to roll out when opening the cover. It is also not the most sturdy when using it on drawing mode position. I returned this and went with the ESR Shift instead. The cover on that is super stable when using the iPad on an angle where you need to write or draw on the screen.

It adds a little extra weight to the iPad but not to much it feels nice and protective

The vast majority of my family’s iPad cases have come from ESR. They’ve all met my expectations. Their low prices means that you won’t be getting a long-lasting product or a product made with premium materials. All of my previous ESR cases started to show visible signs of wear-and-tear after 2-3 years. But they are higher quality and more durable than the usual international generic brands found on marketplaces.Things I like about this case:-The materials seem nice for the price point.-I like the numerous viewing options and angles.-I like the ability to detach the cover from the case whenever I want to hold the iPad in my hands.-I like the clear material used to cover the back of the iPad. This results in a sleeker appearance and lighter case.-The case provides full coverage without being bulky like OtterBox cases.-The magnets that this case depends on for its versatility have been strong so far. In particular, I like how the magnets in the front flap can keep the front cover in place behind the iPad whenever I want to hold the iPad in my hands but don’t want to detach the cover. For previous cases, I struggled with keeping the front cover in place behind the iPad.Things I don’t like:-The material seems to latch on to dust, smudges, and other blemishes. Not a big deal as the case is easy to clean.-I wouldn’t be shocked if I started to see some of the case material start to become unglued after a while. Again, you get what you paid for.

The build quality is good, but the case feels quite thick and heavy

Of the limited options available when I pre-ordered my new iPad Pro (no way was I about to pay Apple $79 for a "Smart Folio" that leaves three sides of the iPad exposed), this seemed the best, and the price makes it a great value for those who need a lot of protection. Front, back, all four sides, and even an Apple Pencil are all covered in a well-made case that fits the iPad like a glove. But that protection comes at a cost. The case doubles the thickness and weight of the iPad. At nearly two pounds, the combo is too heavy for extended one-handed use, which kind of negates the point of buying Apple’s "thinnest iPad ever."The product is actually two pieces: a case with polyurethane sides and a transparent back, and a detachable cover. This allows the iPad to be used at multiple angles in stand mode in both portrait and landscape orientations, but that requires a lot of heavy magnets.I’m more than willing to sacrifice portrait orientation in stand mode if it meant the case could be thinner, lighter, and only one piece, and that’s what I’ll probably buy once more manufacturers have offerings for the new iPad Pro.

It has a weird smell that did not go away. Had to return for a different color. The purple color is awesome.
