This wireless charger is compatible with a caseless iPhone with MagSafe (12 series or later) , an ESR HaloLock case, an official MagSafe case, or a standard case with the HaloLock Universal Ring.

There doesn’t seem to be much out there if you want a magnetic cradle for wireless charging an iPhone.. Nobody seems to know anything, or they give you conflicting information about Apple charging (if we need an MFI cable for charging to recognize a PD charger, or how a PD charger communicates with the charging software on the phone through wireless charging.. Nada).QUIET:The Apple certified version is so quiet I can use it in the bedroom (I can’t even hear it). The other one is so loud I can’t even use it in the car.. I thought it was broke at first until I put my ear up to it and realized there was airflow.WHY 4-STARSfor a $100 charger?Several reasons, listed below, starting with the excessive price..I hate the little nub (the thing that is not part of the magnetic circle) because the camera lens will catch on it in make the phone fall (make difficult) if I try to rotate it.. And annoying (in the car) is when the little nub forces you to orient the plug facing down (exactly where I don’t want it, and presumably nobody wants it, because it gets in the way of the gear shifter and everything else in the console, you want to reach with your hands). I thought about cutting it off, but the $99 one’s magnet doesn’t seem as strong as the $29 one with Cryo boost (And it would probably end up looking terrible).Poor description on the ESR website website, so I have to do all this swapping wires around to figure it out for myself. And another failure of the description was the sound of the cryo- boost fan (the Apple certified version is quiet enough to use in the bedroom, I’m returning the other one because it it’s too noisy even for the car). If the description would’ve been better, I would’ve just bought two apple certified chargers. Now I have to return one which is extra work and time wasted (and the seller gets back one with the package opened, so nobody’s happy)..YOU NEED AN MFI CABLE:I tested it (not charging speed.. I just don’t want my phone to overheat is my reason for wanting to engage the PD software to control the charging), and found the Apple certified cable does act differently on the Apple certified wireless charger (maybe the 9v/12v stuff). Some months ago I bought the Apple certified version and I would only get the large round circle that appears to be the PD charging protocol engaged. I would only get it about one out of every five or 10 times I plugged it in.. I bought the same unit now, and it’s working every time (I assume that round display I’ve never seen before means the PD protocol is in engaged).. — Back to the different behavior with different cables: the apple certified wireless charger would not light up unless I use the MFI cable.. To test for a bad cable I used the same Apple charger and swapped and MFI cable and a regular cable.. The regular cable (that would not light up the Apple certified wireless charger), did charge my iPad, so the cable is apparently good (just not an MFI cable)..

I had an issue with the tightening knob for the swivel arm. Essentially it broke. I reached out to the vendor and was immediately contacted by one of the customer service representatives. Zed from the ESR support team handled my claim efficiently and effectively. I am very pleased with the outcome of my claim, and even more pleased with the fact that ESR cared enough to find a quick solution to my problem. I have purchased a few items from ESR with no issue. I feel confident that any issue that may occur in the future will be handled with care and expediency by the EST team.

For the most part it was a very good product until one of the plastic pieces started to crack and made the once firm mount sort of flimsy. I liked it overall just thought that it didn’t last very long.

Amazing case ! I love all of Esr products and for the last 4 iPhones I’ve go on ESR or their website to purchased their products and cases. The halo lock magnets are incredibly strong and keeps the device in place until you pull it off. I had an issue with the screw but the seller fixed it and resolved the issue quickly . I’m very confident with any of the products this seller releases and will continue to use their chargers, cases, and magnetic accessories in the future.

I have to say the charger does very well. It charges fast. I like how it has a fan and a light behind the magnet part. It looks pretty cool and that part seems to be well-made. I did have a problem with mine. It broke in the back, but I have to say ESR customer service is very good. They answered me fast and sent me a replacement so far the replacement is working fine, although I have not had it very long, I will update if anything changes but great job on customer service and I do love the product if it holds up.

I bought this charger and it works great, and the magnet is rock solid, specially if you combine it with a HaloLock case from ESR.The cooling fan you can barely hear it, the AC fan and the outside noise is way louder than that, I think the only way you can probably hear the fan is if you have an electric car and the AC is off.I combined this charger with a RAM mount using a ball adapter and it works perfectly.

The product finish and quality is amazing. No issue with charging time, actually charges almost close to a wored charger in terms of speed/time.The only thing that needs improvement is maybe the size, looks a bit bulky and most of all a longer cable to connect, about 2 meters/ or at least an option of it. Had to order a separate cable which was a bummer.No issues with the product so far 2 weeks down the line. 4/5 stars
