But it is just slightly water resistant, rather than “water proof”. Suffice to say, that I wouldn’t want to use that case at the beach or in the pool. Because of that, I have used a bunch of generic phone pouches or sleeves, that are kinda like putting your phone in a ziploc bag. My results have been pretty mixed. Most of the time, you get exactly what you bought…a generic vinyl phone pouch that fits terribly for most phones and simply doesn’t fit if you have something like an iPhone Pro Max. So, you buy a bigger pouch, that looks like it was made for an iPad Mini, just to get your phone to fit. Eventually, manufacturers start making more appropriate sized pouches, but they still kinda flop around. There is also the fact that most use either roll up or pinch designs that either don’t really seal well or trap so much air that you can’t effectively press the screen. Many of these take a long time to center the phone, then remove the right amount of air, then get a good seal. Whew!Having used ESR stuff before for my phones, I jumped at the chance to try this new pouch. Let’s be honest, if you buy a bunch of stuff on ESR, quality is pretty hit or miss. My first impressions of this pouch is that it seemed to be fairly well constructed, considering it is a vinyl-like pouch. Unlike most other pouches I have tried, this one is fit specifically for my iPhone 15 Pro Max and even has a hard tray that slides into the pouch. This centers the phone and adds some rigidity too. So this brings me to my first challenge. Since the tray is fitted to the phone, it doesn’t fit with a phone case on it. Removed my case and the phone dropped right into the tray perfectly. I tried to insert the tray into the pouch, but ran into challenge number 2…my camera lens protectors added thickness to the camera and wouldn’t initially pass through the hard plastic interface on the pouch. It took a little bit of force and fitting to get the camera past the opening, but if you spread the plastic interface a little, it should work for you. Now I sealed up the cover and used the release button on the locking lid to vent the air and get a better fit. This was much easier than trying to squeeze air out of the ziploc, like other pouches.Fit was good, touchscreen worked very well when dry. As with all pouches I’ve tried, touch sensitivity decreases a bit when it gets wet, but this one worked better than most. Sound is always a little muted in these types of pouches, but it is still very serviceable. The padding on the pouch made it comfortable to hold and I’m guessing it might add some buoyancy as well. But depending on the size of your hands and where you hold the phone, it can get in the way. The pad also causes the phone to sit awkwardly when you lie it flat on it’s back.Waterproofing/resistance was very good. Although I didn’t get to take it to the pool, I did run it directly under the water and I dunked it in a bucket for a couple minutes. While this wasn’t a comprehensive waterproofing test, the phone came out perfectly dry and everything worked as it was supposed to.I give this a solid 4 out of 5. Maybe my rating is a little unfair, since this works well as a purpose built solution, but less so as a quick pouch to place your phone in and out of when the need arises. So if you are planning to spend the day at the beach, are going out on a boat, or maybe passing the time floating down the river, this is a nice solution. You just need to plan for taking off your case and maybe your lens protectors. Another issue for my use case, is that this does not come with a way to hang or mount this, so you can watch videos hand free, especially in landscape. I guess you could place it on a ledge or shelf, but not ideal. All that said, this is pretty well constructed and works as advertised, just keeping the case issue in mind. Time will tell what durability is like, but so far so good.Pros:Reasonably pricedWell builtHard tray adds rigidityGood touch sensitivityGood waterproof performanceSpecific fit, so phone does not flop around inside the pouchCons:Won’t fit with your phone case onCamera lens protectors could be an issuePad on the back can be awkwardNo solution to mount pouch so you can watch hands free (except just leaning it on something)Need to plan for using this pouch and prep your phone

The phone floats and stays dry while still having the touchscreen ability.

Did the tissue test first as instructed. It was bone dry which gave me the confidence to test it with my phone. I was extremely impressed with the results and can’t wait to try it in the pool.

I love that it floats on water! Excited to use it to film some cool fish!

Probably the plain iPhone 15 would

The design is brilliant!I had a slight issue with one of my ESR products. I reached out to their customer services and quickly received a response and they gave a great resolution. The communication was polite and professional. I was really impressed.I bought 3 of their products so far and I’m really pleased with them. They’re of good quality and look good too!I would highly recommend that company.

There is a air-port that you attach a silicon tube to (its on the lanyard) and inflate the case (it makes the touch screen work better). There is a bladder on the back that helps it float above the water. There are two drawbacks but they are expected.1. It is easy to over-inflate the case at first which makes it harder to use your phone. It is simple to release a little air though and get it just right.2. You have to take your phone out of the case which can be a PITA. This is expected though, since all cases have different dimensions.Overall I’d prefer not to take my cards with me and just keep my phone in the case (make this a little bigger, get rid of the plastic insert) and price is a little high but I it is worth it and it is a no-brainer if you have the use case for it.

And the strap attaches on other end from phone camera. Does not work for me

It protects my phone when I go to the beach or natural spring. Does exactly what it is supposed to do: keep water out, but still keep the phone usable. I am able to easily scroll on my iphone while it is inside of the bag, and the fit is more snug than the universal ones available, which I have found to really enjoy. I expect to use this for a long time.
