I have used a number of ESR products and have been very happy with them. However, they have let the quality slip with this product. Details areimportant.

Aside from being heavy:

1. The delay for BT connection is too long.

2. It does not close all the way (unless you fasten the pencil protector strap. The hinge is too loose.

3. The QR code to register the device and extend the warranty flat out does not work. It take you to an invalid web page. Sloppy on their part.

4. To demonstrate the sloppiness and lack of attention to detail, the instruction sheet was obviously written for a different device. It details the use of the Fn key with the numeric keys when they supply a whole row of function keys. Completely unacceptable.

Love the magnets. Very strong and secure. Also absolutely love the feature of being able to put the iPad in landscape or portrait mode. Portrait mode is great when reading or writing documents. Unfortunately the entire product makes the iPad very heavy to carry around and actually ends up being heavier than my MacBook which is what I don’t want.

I absolutely love this bad boy. I was really torn between it and another product and ended up going with this for the detachable case. I’m so glad I did! It’s heavy/feels sturdy and is super easy to attach. I think I missed it when reading the description, but— the keys light up in different colors (I love anything pink so this just made me that much happier). The magnet is strong so it takes some work to pull the iPad off, and it’s kind of annoying if you don’t line it up perfectly or want to switch orientation, but, hey, at least I know it’s secure. It takes the same charger as the iPad so that’s convenient, too. The keys are a little close together (presumably normal) and they’re loud— which I, for one, adore. I was hesitant because I didn’t know if this would really fit the brand new model but I have the 13” Pro M4 and it’s perfect. All in all: Super happy, glad I bought this and would buy from them again.

I’m using this screen protector for the iPad Pro 13” (2024). The feel when writing with the Apple Pencil pro is far superior compared to the standard glass. It offers a level of resistance and even sounds like you’re writing on paper.The OLED screen quality is slightly muted with this type of screen protector (as I expected of course) however it should still be more than usable for content consumption.The let down was the fact that the edge of the screen protector doesn’t fit the borders of the iPad. It appears they have got their sizing wrong. I was surprised as the packaging for the box stated 12.9” and I’m wondering if this is what their design is based on. The camera cutout is at the right place.

Received a faulty unit that would not charge and customer service was very responsive and sent me a new unit for free without any need to return the original. I have owned ESR products in the past and have found them to be excellent quality so overall this experience was very good! Also the keyboard itself is great and an amazing alternative to the Magic Keyboard that costs triple the price.

I purchased the keyboard case for my 2024 iPad Pro 13in. My first impressions were that it was made of quality materials. It’s built strong and looks very good with the iPad. I love that it comes with a detachable case for the iPad that’s slim and fits perfectly. There is even an indentation for the pencil so that it can magnetically attach. Beautiful workmanship. On startup, it immediately connected to iPad with zero issues. I opened up notes and began to edit a note that i was previously working with on my phone and not only did it work, they typing experience is actually very nice. The key travel is perfect. And i am picky about keyboards. I used it only a couple times and everything seemed to be perfect. I hadn’t really gotten into actually exploring the keyboard’s features, simply note taking and some document typing.But then i went in to test out the features. The trackpad first. Finger scrolling, Check. Tab Changing with 3 fingers, Check. Increased the trackpad speed and it began gliding across the screen beautifully. Next i wanted to test the keyboard shortcuts. Turning the keyboard backlights down, shortcut to home, etc. Not a single one of them worked. So i went to do the factory reset. Nothing. Not a single keyboard shortcut worked on the keyboard. So naturally i reached out to ESR and they responded in a reasonable amount of time. They apologized and offered to send a replacement right away. They assured me this was an isolated incident and i was happy. Fast forward the next day and i get an email from ESR apologizing further that upon checking, the product was out of inventory. So they offered a full refund.While they keyboard works and is a pleasure to type on, connects seamlessly, and is an attractive product, the shortcuts are an essential component to the keyboard.Nevertheless, getting a full refund, timely response, and genuine customer service took this review up to 5 stars.

Had I not thrown away the boxes in a rush I would likely return it. It simply weighs too much.I just took a trip with it. By itself, it is over 3lbs The Apple iPad is 1.4. Huge difference. Huge. Why buy the lightest and skinniest iPad and then weigh it down with this.Weight aside, it works extremely well. If weight is not an issue I would recommend it, but for me, the weight is a killer.
