Best case for my M4 iPad.
all the magnets are strong and all the viewing angles is the best feature.

I ordered the new one right after purchasing the new iPad Pro 11, because I already own the previous version of this case for my current iPad Pro 11. I started with Zugu, but this is better! 🙂

Don’t write many reviews. I have struggled with several types of iPad cases. I ended up buying these cheaper folio cases on eBay and have used them for years. They are around $7-$12 and worked fine for me. Didn’t think I would ever find a better case. None of this type were yet available for the iPad pro 11" 2024. Figured I would wait to buy the new iPad till they were available. That’s how much I like these cheaper cases. Given that, I really wanted the new iPad Pro….now.Found this case and ordered the case before the iPad. When I received it I was impressed but would I actually like using the iPad with it. Convinced myself enough that I ordered the iPad and picked it up at the apple store that evening. Excitedly came home and put the iPad in the case…wow!!I’ve used this case for about a week now: the perfect case! I can get the iPad at exactly the angle I want. Slouching on the couch, raise it higher; sitting in a chair, with the iPad on my lap, set it lower; eating lunch at the kitchen table, raise it higher. It’s sturdy, stays in the slot I want to use, and seems like it will last long enough. This case couldn’t be much better. I might order an extra one or two to ensure I have one on hand over the years of my new iPad’s life.

I purchased this case for my new 11” iPad Pro (M4 2024) and it works great. There are two components to this case: first the slim shell that holds the iPad like a traditional case and second the stand it attaches to magnetically. The stand can be configured to hold the iPad in a multitude of levels and positions which really sets this case apart from every other case I’ve had for my iPads.I find the slightly raised angle perfect for drawing and writing with the new Apple Pencil. As for storing the pencil, there’s a slip on the back of the stand to hold the pencil. Theres also an indented spot to magnetically connect the pencil to the top of your iPad just like with the Gen 2 pencils and the 2018-2023 iPads.As for the weight, when detached and just in the shell case it’s totally fine. When it’s attached to the stand it’s definitely heavier. So it’s more ideal for serving as a stationary stand which is fine for me. It might not be ideal for those who travel often. Either way, there aren’t many cases on the market yet for these new iPads and this one does the job it’s supposed to do. No major complaints so far!

I have a similar magnetic case different manufacturer. But this one is heavier. But it does what it’s supposed to.

I think this is a great case. It only has two things that I would improve.1 better magnet on the front cover. The front cover magnet is too weak.2 A cut on the magnetic back slide for easier accessBoth of these things are better on the zugu case. What is better on this case is that you are able to remove some weight by just having the main case part on.

This Ipad cover fits perfectly with a variety of functions. Very flexible with many options for utilizing the I pad. Offers excellent protection.

The functionality, versatility – it’s incredible. It can be configured in many ways. Propped up at a customizable viewing again on a table or lap, perhaps you just want to use it at a slight angle on a flat table. Easy enough. Raise it higher? Yes because off the magnets. It can be taken off the outer stand easily and then it’s like a light iPad with a skin on it. It’s amazing. And the price is great! The only caveat is that it is heavy and thick when all put together, but magnets are obviously heavy. Just get it. You’ll love it.

This is the first case from ESR I’ve ever purchased, and already it’s garnered respect from me for the company for its innovative design.One of the key features I was looking for in a case was a removable cover, so that I can use the iPad with minimal weight when I choose to, and not have to deal with the inconveniences of dealing with a folded cover behind it, like with the official Apple Smart Folio or its numerous copycat cases. The ESR Shift case includes a sleek bumper case that looks great to me and provides adequate protection on all sides, and pairs it with an impressively designed shell that allows any configuration that I’d want to use the iPad in. The materials and magnets seem to me to be of satisfactory quality as well, and time will tell if they hold up to wear and tear.The only nitpick I have is that the front cover of the shell seats a bit loose, as it relies on magnetism to keep it flush with the screen instead of a physical solution, but this is a minor quibble compared to the rest of the benefits that the Shift case provides. I’m glad to have given ESR a shot, and will be adding their cases to my consideration going forward!
