I wish it could click by touch only without having to press it.

It has the same shortcut keys, touchpad, and backlit keys. The ESR case has features that Apple’s doesn’t have – multiple backlighting colors, a detachable iPad protector case, and Bluetooth compatibility, so it could be used with other iPads or devices.

At 1/3 the price, it is a no brainer for anyone who wants a nice keyboard for their new iPad.Pros:Keys: the keys itself have a very apple feel to them and are low tactile, typing is very simple on them.Features: To be specific this keyboard has built in gestures which makes it easy to swipe between apps and go home. It also has backlighting on the keyboard for night time use.Trackpad: A good size and simple to use with the gestures and casual scrollingMagnet Strength: The keyboard itself comes with a simple case which magnitizes to the actual keyboard itself. If you want to use your iPad in tablet mode you can easily remove it and still have a case on it. Keyboard also has great stability which evens out the weight of the keyboard+iPad. Very great design!!Cons:Battery: Now this isn’t exactly a con but not being able to see the battery life of the actual keyboard (yes it has its own battery and can luckily be charged via USB-C). Not easily being able to see the battery life of the keyboard is a big con to me.Connection: Again this isn’t exactly a con but unlike apple’s magic keyboard (which pairs seamlessly) this is a bluetooth keyboard so you need a constant bluetooth connection and it must re-pair when you are not using it.Conclusion:I have been using this keyboard with my new iPad for a couple days and I greatly enjoy it. You can beat the easy price (which is $110 at the time of this review 6/2/24). Which is 1/3 of apple’s magic keyboard case. For anyone looking for a cheaper alternative as of now this is the best you’re gonna get! You are not sacrificing a lot in terms of features and is overall a worthy alternative

The keyboard is responsive, trackpad is nice. I have tried a few others and this one was the best I found and I’m very pleased with it. The only thing the Magic Keyboard may do slightly better is responsiveness of the trackpad but at one third of the cost and an included magnetic case for protection definitely five stars.

The main drawback of this case is the weight, it is about double the weight of the iPad` itself, but it is somewhat understandable since the keyboard has its own battery and offers more protection. The trackpad is also not the best, but about on par of what can be expected from a tablet keyboard attachment. At first I believed the bluetooth connectivity to be a downside, but I think it is a worthy trade off to be able to reposition the iPad in multiple different ways.Overall, especially for the price, I believe this is a great alternative to the magic keyboard, for the protection and versatility.

Previous version did not have this2-it is very stable. A YouTuber mentioned that the hinge on the new Magic Keyboard does not sit flush on table and therefore rock badly when you tap. This does not. It sit flush on table top.3-typing experience is great.I can’t image why I’d pay $250 more for the apple keyboard when this more than fits the bill.I’ve had several esr products and they are all great quality.
