Love the case but the pencil holder isn’t the best. Once the case is open, the pencil does fit nicely on the flap but if you raise the flap to close the case, the pencil can fall out. Not a deal breaker, just wish it had a more secure pencil holder.

As usual great quality case from esr. This case fits the iPad mini 5th generation perfectly. It is able to work with or without the Apple Pencil attached. I’m safe in the knowledge that iPad is fully protected. I always purchase esr cases and screen protectors for all iPhones and iPads in the household.

Tolerances are great, I do not experience any issues regarding the case being loose or too tight. The design is very simple, it’s not too tacky like some other cases. The trifold cover part is a little large, so sometimes closing the case on the pencil can take some adjusting sometimes. However, it is not that big of an issue.

So, save yourself a step. Go ahead and just get this one. It’s nice. Smart Cover is excellent. Works great keeping Apple Pencil secure. It’s attractive and feels like quality.If you buy another brand you’ll end up getting this one anyway so save some money and your time.

The plastic material looks durable. The flap can be folded to use as a stand. Only downside is it does not cover the apple pencil fully.

While not *exactly* as sturdy at the name brand, this is a great option, especially if you want to draw/doodle on it. Sharpie markers work the best and the colors haven’t faded as I’ve used it.

I have only had it for a couple months but it has been working. The best features for me are that it is very light and it has a flap that holds the Apple Pencil in whether it’s open or closed. I would rather have the flap than the enclosed snap in features of other covers. I will say that when I’m watching videos while exercising the flap will be over the screen a little but the safety of holding the pencil in is worth it to me. I prop it against some books or dumbbells and that works for me.

Very slim and love the clear back cover to show off the purple. Need to get used to the magnetic flip but will be handy when i get the pencil
