Adds a bit more weight to the Air which actually makes it more comfortable to use. Great value for money.

I never write ESR reviews, but this one deserves it. I’d been looking all over for a case for my iPad, and most of them boil down to a couple basic designs: a kickstand that only supports a couple pre-defined angles, or a flip-cover design that’s basically a variant on Apple’s original cover. This case’s hinge is unique, and I don’t know why it’s not found more often. It’s one of those infinitely adjustable designs and works in a manner similar hinge on a laptop screen – wherever you set it, it stays. It will also flip out to an angle greater than 90-degrees, which is useful as when you do that, you can stand the iPad up nearly straight.I also like the case design. It has a solid, industrial feel to it. Definitely will help with drops. It’s texture makes it easy to grip. Has a raised lip to prevent the screen from touching a surface if placed face down, and reinforced corners. But what I really like is what they don’t include. I’m not a fan of screen protectors on iPads – unless the protector bonds to the screen, it’s just going to trap dirt. And iPads don’t need protectors nearly as much as phones that are going to be shoved into pockets with all sorts of other things. Additionally, any screen protector will interfere with the touch interface to some degree, so I’d rather not have one at all.Lastly, the case doesn’t have a Apple Pencil holder. I suppose this is a minus for those that have and use those, but I don’t, and a lot of cases include a elastic loop that just gets in the way. I suspect a *lot* of people don’t use the Pencil, and would be glad not to have a useless feature.I had been looking for something with a hand-loop for holding the iPad, but I discovered that the hinge actually works quite well in this use case, so I really don’t feel like it’s missing anything.I’m just surprised there aren’t a bunch of clones of this design. In fact, I can’t even find a version of this for anything other than the iPad Air 3. I’ve written to the manufacture, hoping they’ll release a version for the regular iPad as well.

I really loved this case. But after 2 months of use, the back piece that keeps it standing broke. Will contact seller about it. Overall, it is a good case, just be careful of the back piece.

The case is used on an iPad a six-year-old uses. I have owned the case for just under six months. The case itself is sturdy and solid. The movement of the kickstand (before it broke) was excellent; good for working and it could be ‘flipped’ so the position for video calls for school was more natural. However, the kickstand broke off recently and it’s been in use for less than six months.

Been using the case for 5 months. Unfortunately the stand broke on the back. The metal hinge is very sturdy and still works. But the clips attached to the plastic are not strong, only 2 small screws/ bolts. They broke off when I opened the case today. The bolts holes are so small that superglue won’t hold. Works fine as just a case. Disappointed in the kick stand.
