A very decent product from ESR, strong magnets to hold your ipad and lock the position in place and if you want to be free of the keyboard and write with the pen or simply browse it’s very nice to separate the ipad and still have it with a case and protect it.2 negatives however;1) The case lifted my screen protector off with the way it grips onto the ipad which forced me to buy a screen protector from ESR, that said the ESR screen protector was made to avoid this issue so I would recommend one if getting this case.2) This is a big negative for me, the pen holder for the apple pencil, worked for about a week. the material was tight but now is stretched and just lose enough that the pencil will want to slip out. They would be better off replacing the materiel with a good quality elastic that won’t stretch.

This case is indispensable. I use this like a laptop, take notes at meetings, and read and respond to email on the go. I use it every day for extended periods but only have to charge it once every two weeks. I like the flexibility of two keyboard angles and the ease of the magnetic cover. When my case stopped working 9 months in, I contacted ESR and they readily replaced it. A great find!

Great quality. Elegant look. I like that you can put your ipad into a case to protect it and detach it from the keyboard in case you only want to read. Soft Keys. Not super soft but softer than other keyboard cases I’ve bought and returned. The Keys look and feel high quality. Awesome backlight options. Strong magnets that hold ipad in place and close case. 👌
