Price and Availability
Both series are available for pre-order before hitting stores officially on Friday, February 25. You may want to get yours straight away as the best pre-order special ends Thursday, February 24.
In the Galaxy S22 series, the S22 is less expensive. The base price for the S22 model starts at $800, while the most costly of the series, Galaxy S22 Ultra, will sell from $1,200 as the base price, according to Samsung.

In terms of storage, S22 Ultra offers more and better options, unlike S22, which comes with only 8GB RAM with either 256GB or 128GB internal storage. The unique features in the Galaxy S22 Ultra make it preferable to S22. These include the additional 10MP telephoto rear camera. While S22 has one telephoto lens in addition to the 12MP ultra-wide lens and 50MP wide-angle camera, the S22 Ultra second telephoto lens has 10x optical zoom.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra S Pen is another feature that makes S22 Ultra unique among the S22 series. Like the Galaxy Note series, an S Pen is built into the design of S22 Ultra, lacking in S22. According to Samsung, the operable distance of the S22 Ultra S Pen extends approximately 10 meters from the phone in open space.
Colour
The S22 is available in phantom white, green, pink gold, and phantom black, while the S22 Ultra is available in burgundy, green, phantom white, and phantom black. The exclusive Samsung.com colorways for S22 are graphite, cream, sky blue, and violent. Graphite, red, and sky blue are the three exclusive Samsung.com colorways for S22 Ultra.
Camera
From the front camera, the S22 offers a 10-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture and 1/3.24″ image sensor size like the S22+. Meanwhile, the S22 Ultra features a 40-megapixel lens for its selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 1/2.82″ image sensor size.
The rear camera is another distinct feature of the phone. S22 has a triple rear camera, a 12MP Ultra Wide Camera with f2.2 aperture and 1/2.55″ image size, a 50MP wide-angle camera with f1.8 aperture 1/1.56″ image sensor size; and a 10MP telephoto camera with f2.4 aperture and 1/3.94″ image sensor size. The telephoto lens offers 3x optical zoom with a super-resolution zoom up to 30x.
The S22 Ultra, on the other hand, has a quad rear camera. One 12MP ultra-wide camera with f1.8 aperture and 1/1.33″ image sensor size, one 108MP wide-angle camera with f1.8 aperture and 1/1.33″ image sensor size, and two 10MP telephoto cameras – one with an f/4.9 aperture and 10x zoom, the second is with f/2.4 aperture and 3x zoom.
Battery Capacity
At the official announcement of the S22 series, the battery capacity of S22 is 3700mAh while S22 Ultra’s battery capacity is 5000mAh. With this specification, the S22 Ultra has a better battery life compared to the S22.
