Does a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra case fit a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra?

No, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra case will not work with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which measures 77.9 x 163.3 x 8.9 mm, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra measures 78.1 x 163.4 x 8.9 mm.

Although they appear to be very similar, their dimensions and specifications differ. Therefore, there are differences between the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra case and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra case. Of course, to back up this claim, we’ll compare the two Samsung Galaxy phones and show you the distinction. In the following table, you can quickly compare and contrast:

Design

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra looks almost identical to its forerunner, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, though the rounded corners have been supposedly trimmed down to increase the viewing area. In all other respects, the design is top-notch, with rounded corners and an exposed housing for the rear camera lenses.

The S23 Ultra, like its predecessor, the S22 Ultra, includes a built-in S Pen, maintaining its position as the Galaxy Note successor. It also has IP68 dust and water resistance, as is customary for today’s top-tier smartphones.

Compared to the S22 Ultra, which measures 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9mm, the S23 Ultra is slightly broader and heavier, measuring 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9mm. The S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra offer their users a wide range of color options.

The S22 Ultra, like the S23 Ultra, features a front-facing camera accessed via a centrally located punch hole, and the in-display fingerprint sensor returns for 2023 models. However, this time, most of the shifts are happening on the inside rather than the outside.

Cameras

A 108-megapixel primary sensor, a 10-megapixel zoom lens with 3x zoom, a 12-megapixel wide sensor, and an additional 10-megapixel zoom lens with 10x zoom make up the quad rear camera on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Its resolution was identical to that of the S21 Ultra, but Samsung enlarged the main sensor by 23%, making the S22 Ultra’s camera an absolute joy to use in any lighting condition.

However, the S23 Ultra features a slightly higher resolution than its predecessor’s, thanks to its 200-megapixel main sensor, which Samsung is touting as the device’s main selling point.

In addition to the primary 200-megapixel sensor, there are two 10-megapixel telephoto lenses and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. Like its forerunner, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra supports 3x and 10x zoom and 100x Space Zoom.

Furthermore, with the ability to shoot 8K video at 30 frames per second, the S22 Pro offers several other improvements over the S22 Ultra, such as capturing moving star trails with AstroHyperlapse and a 50-megapixel RAW file with ExpertRAW.

Display

With its gorgeous 6.8-inch Super AMOLED panel and 3088 x 1440 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra screen is hard to beat. In addition, the maximum brightness is 1750nits, and the refresh rate is variable up to 120Hz.

Curves are also added to the S22 Ultra’s exceptional design at the display’s edges. Though it was speculated that the S23 Ultra’s display would also have rounded corners at the top and bottom to set it apart from its predecessor, this is not the case.

Thus, the most recent model also features a 6.8-inch screen, like the Galaxy S22 Ultra, with a resolution of 3088×1440 and a refresh rate adjustable to 120 hertz. In addition, the maximum brightness of 1750 nits has not changed since 2022, slightly less than the Apple iPhone 14 Pro increase that year.

Hardware and specs

Depending on where you are, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be powered by the Exynos 2200 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. However, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will forego Exynos in favor of Qualcomm’s newest chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Samsung hasn’t confirmed the clock speed, but rumors suggest it’s faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.

You can get the Galaxy S23 Ultra with either 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage or 12GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB of storage, all of which work with the chip. The base storage for the 2023 model is twice the S22 Ultra, which comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, or 12GB of RAM and a choice of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage. Similar to the S23 Ultra, the S22 Ultra doesn’t support microSD cards.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra retains the S22 Ultra’s 5000mAh battery. Wi-fi charging on the S22 Ultra is rated at 15W, and fast charging at 45W has been rumored for the S23 Ultra. The features of Wireless PowerShare, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Super-Fast Charging 2.0 are all features that Samsung claims the S23 Ultra has, but the company hasn’t revealed any specific charging times.

What To Consider When Buying A Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Case

A high-quality case will help your Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra maintain its pristine condition for much longer than possible without one. A high-quality case will keep your phone in excellent condition. In addition, it will prevent the need for a costly replacement any time soon. However, before settling on a case for your Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, take these things into account:

  • Find a case that’s just the right thickness for you, and ensure it has a good grip so it won’t slip out of your hands.
  • To get the most out of some situations, it may be necessary to purchase additional accessories. Hence, it is crucial to determine if your preferred case requires any other features or accessories.
  • Select a style that appeals to your sense of aesthetics;
  • Remember that the case’s material plays just as important a role as its design.
  • Finally, consider how much you can afford to spend, especially after purchasing the phone.
